ABOUT
The data we provide here is based on published research carried out at the Laboratory for Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing in close collaboration with the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), as part of CIFOR's Global Comparative Study on REDD+, and other partners.

As a multidisciplinary group, the Laboratory for Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing links to various scientific fields to study, understand and manage human impact on landscapes, ecosystem services and to support sustainable and climate-friendly future developments.

The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) is a non-profit, scientific facility that conducts research on the most pressing challenges of forest and landscape management around the world. Using a global, multidisciplinary approach, CIFOR aims to improve human well-being, protect the environment, and increase equity.

The funding partners that have supported this research include the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), and the CGIAR Research Program on Forests, Trees and Agroforestry (CRP-FTA), with financial support from the donors contributing to the CGIAR Fund.
